British Archaeological Reports (BAR) and Archaeopress are two Oxford-based publishers that have built their reputation on publishing relatively quick, inexpensive, yet scholarly monographs, conference proceedings, reports, and - in Archaeopress's case - journals on archaeology and archaeological sciences worldwide. Recently, both publishers launched digital collections, Archaeopress on its own digital platform and BAR books on the UMichigan Publishing's Fulcrum platform. After trials over the summer 2020, Penn Libraries has signed 3-year agreements to purchase perpetual access to all the old titles and their newly published titles as e-books.

The BAR Digital Collection offers over 3000 e-books, and 500 more e-books should be available in the next few months. The collection includes all the volumes from the BAR International Series and BAR British Series as well as their subseries titles. Currently, there is a delay in being able to download 2020 and 2021 titles, which will be resolved by middle of 2021, but new publications are available for viewing online.
