The Penn Libraries values its commitment to celebrating the professional achievements of its employees. It is in this spirit that we are proud to announce that Associate University Librarian for Collections Brigitte Burris has been selected to be a member of the Advisory Board for the scholarly humanities publishing platform Project MUSE.

Project MUSE is a primary platform for social science and digital humanities content for scholars around the globe and the members of the Project MUSE Advisory Board provide representation for the diverse communities Project MUSE assists.

Burris is sincerely honored to be joining the advisory board of Project MUSE, which she describes as “an organization that has long been at the vanguard of press and library partnership.” “Advancing scholarship in the humanities and social sciences is near and dear to my heart, and I look forward to contributing to that important mission,” stated Burris.

The Penn Libraries would like to extend a hearty congratulations to Brigitte on this distinguished opportunity to be an agent for change in 21st-century scholarship.
