From the Kress entrance: After checking in at the Visitors' Services desk, use the elevator behind the desk to go from floor 1 to floor 3 in the Academic Wing. Go straight as you exit the elevator.
From the Main (Kamin) entrance to the Museum: During the Museum Hours, 10AM-5PM, Tuesdays-Sundays, you can use the main entrance (Kamin entrance) to the Museum. After checking in at the Visitors' Services desk at the Museum's entrance, turn right and pass through the Native American, Mesoamerican, and African galleries. Near the end of the African gallery, turn right/south to walk through the Pepper Mill café. At the lunch counter, turn left and go to the stairs or elevator for access to floor 3. Alternatively, you can go to the galleries on the 3rd floor of the Museum and access the Academic Wing through either the upper Egypt gallery or the Rome gallery, as shown on the 3rd floor plan.
