Azden SGM-DSLR Shotgun microphone. These are good at picking up the sounds directly in front of them, while blocking out much of the sound to the sides and rear. A good choice if you need an off-camera microphone from a relatively short distance (3-8 feet or so). These use LR-44 button batteries, so remember to turn them off when you’re not using them.
