Based in the Biotech Commons, Manuel's work centers on liaising with research communities, forging and strengthening relationships with research cores and other campus partners, and spearheading new and innovative services. He also supervises the Head of the Bollinger Digital Fabrication Lab, the Garfield Resident Librarian, and the newly appointed Bioinformatics Librarian.
Manuel provides support in: Troubleshooting MyNCBI, SciENcv, and PMCID/NIH Public Access submissions; managing researcher profiles in ORCiD, Google Scholar, ScopusID, and ResearcherID; creating bibliometrics reports, co-authorship network visualizations, and determining impact metrics such as H-index and Impact Factor; consulting on data visualizations; consulting on all the suite of NCBI databases for bioinformatics and on BioCyc. Manuel also serves as the Libraries' Liaison to the Biomedical Graduate Studies program at the Perelman School of Medicine.
