The Board of Advisors is an advisory board with roles and responsibilities defined by the Vice Provost and Director of the Libraries and the Office of the University Secretary. The primary roles of the Board of Advisors are to provide support and counsel to the Vice Provost and Director of the Libraries and to serve as ambassadors to the Penn Libraries locally, regionally and globally.

Biographies of Overseers

 Judith Bollinger, WG'81, PAR'14

Judith L. Bollinger is the CEO of Judico Capital Pte. Limited, a Singapore-based fund that invests in Pan Asian listed equities. She is also the non-executive Chairman of ABG Sundal Collier, an investment bank listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. Judith has more than 30 years of experience in the securities business in the US, Europe and Asia. Her early career focused on equity research and she was a top ranked analyst for Goldman Sachs in New York. In 1993, she relocated to the Goldman Sachs London office to become Head of UK and European Research. Judith has served as the Chairman of the Development Committee for the British Library and she is currently the Chairman of the Finance and Audit Committee of the Foundling Museum, which houses archives of the 18th Century Foundling Hospital. She is a trustee of Independent Opera, a platform to support and develop young talent. Judith is the past Chair of the University of Pennsylvania Libraries Board of Overseers and a member of Penn’s Board of Trustees, Penn’s Investment Board and the Wharton Executive Board for Asia.

 Sandra Choi Brigode (Ex-Oficio), WG’99

Sandra Choi Brigode began her career in financial securities. In New York, she was a Vice President in the Securitized Products Group of Morgan Stanley and specialized in the auto finance, student loan, and utility industries. Sandy also worked in the Debt Capital Markets group of Goldman Sachs, primarily with the firm's energy and power clients. Sandy, a mother of two young children, has recently relocated from Honolulu back to New York. In Honolulu, she held leadership roles with a number of prominent local non-profit organizations. She was the Vice Chair of the St. Clement’s School Board, where she led the investment committee and financial aid committees. She worked to inaugurate an annual benefit dinner, and chaired the event twice. She has served on the board of the Honolulu Zoo Society and has been active in fundraising there. Sandy also served on the benefit committees for prominent Honolulu organizations including the Kapiolani Center for Women and Children and the Honolulu Museum of Art. Sandy received an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and her BA in Economics from Northwestern University.

 Eduardo Costa, C'98

Eduardo Costa is the Founder of Calixto Global Investors and Portfolio Manager of the Fund. Prior to founding Calixto Global Investors in 2013, Eduardo spent five years as the Director of Research at JAT Capital Management. Before JAT, Eduardo was a Managing Director and Analyst in the TMT group at Carlyle Blue Wave Partners. He spent the four previous years as an Analyst at Shumway Capital Partners and a member of the SCP Omni Fund team, covering the TMT and Travel, Leisure, and Gaming sectors. Eduardo began his career as an Analyst at Lazard Asset Management in the Emerging Market Equities group. Eduardo earned a B.A. in Economics and International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania before going on to earn an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. Eduardo is first-generation Cuban-American and grew up in South Florida. He is fluent in Spanish.

 James Crowley, W’96

James Crowley is a Senior Managing Director and Global Life Sciences lead in Accenture Strategy. His role focuses on helping C-suite executives in the Life Sciences industry drive better strategic outcomes. He also has accountability for global Accenture Life Sciences clients. James has more than 20 years of consulting experience working with biopharmaceutical companies across a number of business areas including sales and marketing, supply chain and operations, information technology and medical affairs. He specializes in strategy development, organizational reshaping, and capability building to support the evolving needs of businesses. James is a member of the Accenture Global Leadership Council.  He is an Executive Sponsor for Accenture’s undergraduate recruiting at Penn since 2007. James has volunteered for the Penn Alumni Interview Program since 2011.  Additionally, he is a Steering Committee member of the Jay Sigel Invitational, a charity dedicated to raising money for prostate and breast cancer research for the Abramson Family Cancer Research Institute at the University of Pennsylvania Cancer Center. James lives in Wayne, Pennsylvania with his wife Kelly (NU’97) and their two children, Jack and Liam.

 Alexandra Cudby, C'91, WG'97

Ali Cudby is the founder and CEO of Alignmint Growth Strategies, a consultancy dedicated to helping clients reduce customer churn and improve customer experience. She is also the author of the #1 bestselling book, Keep Your Customers: How to Stop Customer Turnover, Improve Retention and Get Lucrative, Long-Term Loyalty, (Morgan James Publishers, 2020) and an adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Purdue University. Ali first cut her teeth in the world of customer experience after graduating from Wharton Business School and joining The New York Times Company’s corporate planning group. She also had stints in strategic marketing at the Golf Digest Magazine Group and Animal Planet TV Network before opening her own shop. Ali has been an active Penn alumna, serving on the University of Pennsylvania Libraries Board of Advisors and Trustees' Council for Penn Women as co-chair of the Leadership, Development and DEI Committees. Upon moving to Indianapolis in 2017, Ali restored the Penn Club of Indiana and served as President. Ali is a Tri-Chair of Momentum 2021: The Power of Penn Women Conference.

 Erik D. Gershwind (Chair), W'93

Erik Gershwind serves as President and Chief Executive Officer for MSC Industrial Supply Co., a leading North American distributor of metalworking and maintenance, repair and operations products and services based in Melville, N.Y. For over 20 years, Erik has managed key aspects of MSC's business. Erik served as President and Chief Operating Officer from 2011-2012, was named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 2009, and was elected to MSC's Board of Directors in October 2010. Erik graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and magna cum laude from Harvard Law School. Erik serves on the Board of Directors for the Gershwind and Jacobson charitable foundations and as Vice Chair of the Board of Overseers for the University of Pennsylvania Libraries. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Sid Jacobson JCC of East Hills, N.Y. and is a member of the UJA Federation of New York’s New Leadership Committee. Erik lives in Old Westbury, N.Y. with his wife, Jackie, and three children, Jake, Sophie and Max. 

 Laurie G. Gliklich, C’90, PAR'21, PAR'23

Laurie G. Gliklich graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania and received her Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School.  After working at the firm Goodwin Procter practicing corporate law, Gliklich moved to in-house counsel roles, initially with CareMatrix Corporation.  In 1997, Gliklich helped to found Outcome Sciences, a real world and late phase outcomes research company in the pharmaceutical and provider spaces which was acquired by Quintiles Transnational Corporation in 2011.  After Outcome, Gliklich became active in multiple philanthropic organizations including the Women’s Philanthropy Executive Board at Combined Jewish Philanthropies, as well as the Board of Trustees of Temple Emanuel.  In addition, Gliklich serves on the Board of Achieve, a tuition-free educational program serving low-income middle school-age children. Gliklich has served in many volunteer capacities at The Fessenden School, The Winsor School and The Rashi School.  Gliklich lives in Weston, MA with her husband and three children, one of whom is a student at Penn.

 Joseph B. Glossberg, W'63, WG'65

Joe Glossberg is a principal in the Chicago-based investment counseling firm Gofen and Glossberg. He is both a chartered financial analyst and chartered investment counselor and holds memberships in numerous professional bodies in the world of finance. Glossberg’s civic involvements include serving as president of the board of the Jazz Institute of Chicago, and as a trustee of the Merit School of Music, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and Knox College. Glossberg is Vice Chair of the board of the Chicago Jazz Orchestra and a corporate board member of Changing Worlds, a cross-cultural program for Chicago Public School kids. Glossberg’s long record of service to Penn includes membership on the board of trustees; the investment board and the steering committee of the Campaign for Penn; chair emeritus of the Penn Library board of overseers; vice chairman for the Midwest President’s Council; and as a founding member of the alumni council on admissions. Glossberg is a recipient of the Penn Alumni Award of Merit. 

 

 Jeffrey Hechtman, W'86, PAR'19, PAR'21

Jeff Hechtman is a partner in the Business and Finance Group and president of the Executive Committee for the Chicago-based commercial law practice, Horwood Marcus & Berk Chartered. Hechtman’s local involvement reaches from the Board of Directors of the Illinois Holocaust Museum to Penn’s Secondary School Committee in North Chicago. Hechtman teaches courses at Lorman Education Services, the National Business Institute, and the Chicago Bar Association, where Hechtman is the Co-Chairman for the Corporation and Business Law Committee and Subcommittee on Private Equity. Hechtman has lectured on entrepreneurship at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and private equity at Penn’s own Wharton School of Business. Hechtman has published widely on outside capital, talent management, corporate sports and event sponsorships, and LLCs. Hechtman received his Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School and a Juris Doctor from The University of Chicago Law School. Jeff and his wife Ilene Klaiman Hechtman, C’87, W’87 and their three children reside in Wilmette, IL. His daughter, Allison, is a student at Penn.

 Christine Hikawa, CW'73, PAR'21

Chris Hikawa graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania and received her Juris Doctor from Columbia University School of Law in 1976 as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. After serving as a law associate at the New York firm of Hardee, Barovik, Konecky and Braun, Hikawa joined the legal department of the ABC-Owned and Operated Stations, then became director of legal and business affairs for ABC Sports and was promoted to vice president of broadcast standards and practices for the ABC Television Network, until she retired in 2000. In 1999, Hikawa and her husband, David Windreich, adopted twin girls from China. Hikawa is active in her community’s Rock Ridge Association Board, Greenwich Academy and served as chair of the board of directors of the YWCA of Greenwich. Hikawa is currently the Board Chair of Kids in Crisis, a children's shelter in Fairfield County for abused and neglected children. In addition to working on several Penn and Columbia reunion committees, Hikawa has been a member of the Trustees’ Council of Penn Women since 1991 and served as its chair from 2000–2003.

 

 Melissa London Hilfers (Ex-Oficio), C'95

Melissa London Hilfers is a screenwriter who lives in New York City. Her current projects include the thriller UNDONE, (Parkes/MacDonald and Black Bear Pictures), IMMORTAL (M.Y.R.A. Entertainment, with Ellen Kuras attached to direct); an adaptation of the bestseller BEHIND CLOSED DOORS (Stone Village Productions, Wild Bunch Germany); UNFIT (Amazon Studios, Dakota Johnson attached to star); as well as THE FORGETTING TIME, an event series at Fox, with Octavia Spencer attached to star; and THE BOY WHO PLAYED WITH FUSION (20th Century Fox, Chernin) with Jeff Nichols directing. Ms. Hilfers’ directorial debut, short film BLASPHEMY, is currently in post-production for a 2018 release. Ms. Hilfers is  a mother of three children and a rambunctious miniature schnauzer. She has served on the boards of the Child Center of New York and the Speyer Legacy School.

Kimberly Hirschman, W'87

Kim Hirschman graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Following a six month interval in Japan with Nomura Securities, she joined Morgan Stanley in 1987 and worked as an investment banker in New York and London, specializing in fixed income securities and loan originations from French, Spanish, and Italian corporations, banks, and governments. From 1996–2002 she was an asset manager for Morgan Stanley Asset Management London, specializing in real estate and fixed income product development. In 2002, Hirschman received her Diploma in Translation from the Chartered Institute of Linguists and has since worked as a freelance translator in the corporate and charity sector. During her 20 years in England, Hirschman was an active volunteer with the Penn UK Annual Fund, and served as an interviewer for the Secondary School Committee. Hirschman and her husband, Ed Giera, W’84, recently relocated to London.

 Wendy Commins Holman, W'97

Wendy Commins Holman is a Partner of Ridgeback Capital, a healthcare-focused investment fund which is dedicated to investing in life-saving and life-changing technologies. Prior to joining Ridgeback, Holman worked at US-based ZBI Equities, a multi-billion dollar public equity investment fund and its parent company, Ziff Brothers Investments. Between 1999 and 2014 Holman held various positions including healthcare sector head and director of research at ZBI Equities, and Principal at Ziff Brothers Investments. Holman has four children and lives with her husband and their Rhodesian Ridgeback (the mascot of Ridgeback Capital) in Miami, Florida.

 Marilyn Kramer Weitzman Kahn, CW'68, G'69

Marilyn Kramer Weitzman Kahn is president of The Weitzman Group Inc., a nationwide real estate consulting firm headquartered in New York City. Since 1981, Kahn has been a principal in her own firm, which evaluated major trophy properties such as Rockefeller Center, One World Financial Center, and 7 World Trade Center. She was formerly an assistant vice president of the Investment Services Division at Landauer Associates Inc., in New York City. Kahn received her Bachelor and Master degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Business Administration in finance from New York University. Kahn’s active professional affiliations include: National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries, Counselors of Real Estate, Association of Real Estate Women, Appraisal Institute, Urban Land Institute, and New York Women Executives in Real Estate. Kahn has served as a Board Member of the New York City Industrial Development Agency and is a past faculty member of The Real Estate Institute of New York University and the Appraisal Institute.

 Jeffrey S. Lin, W’97

Jeffrey Lin is Head of Merger Arbitrage for Oz Management.  He is also an Executive Managing Director and a member of the Portfolio Committee. Lin is responsible for arbitrage investing and works closely with investment professionals across geographies and asset classes to deploy the Firm’s resources in a multi-disciplinary strategy. Lin has over 17 years of investment experience, specializing in arbitrage and event-driven investing.  Prior to joining Oz Management in 2005, Lin was a Senior Analyst at Sandell Asset Management.  Prior to that, he served as a Portfolio Manager at Avery Capital Management and an Analyst at Jefferies & Company. Lin holds a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.  He is a trustee of Western Reserve Academy.

 Stephan Loewentheil

Stephan Loewentheil graduated with honors from Washington and Jefferson College, and obtained his Juris Doctor from Cornell University Law School. He has been a member of the Board of Trustees of Washington and Jefferson College and has served on its Investment Committee. Stephan founded and is the president of The 19th Century Rare Book and Photograph Shop and its subsidiary Luxury Catalogs. For over three decades the firm has been one of the world's leading dealers in important rare books, manuscripts and photographs. His clients include the White House, under five presidents from Bush through Obama, great universities and national libraries, as well as many of the world’s leading private collectors. His books and photographs are in the collections of and have been exhibited in libraries and museums worldwide including University of Pennsylvania, the Getty Museum, Tsinghua University Art Museum, Cornell University, Beijing University, the National Gallery of Art, the Library of Congress, Metropolitan Museum of Art,  the  National Portrait Gallery in London, and the Israel Museum. Over three decades, he has created world-renowned personal photographic collections including early Western American landscape photography, Mathew Brady and the Civil War and China. Stephan's personal collection of early China photographs is the most important holding in the world. It has been exhibited at a number of university museums and libraries in the United States and in China. Stephan also owns and operates an organic farm in Delaware County, NY, growing organic produce and breeding and raising specialty cattle, sheep, turkeys, and chickens.

 Haniel Jay Lynn, ENG'91, WG'95, PAR'23

Haniel J. Lynn is the Chief Executive Officer of Kastle Systems International (KSI), the industry leader in managed security solutions and services consisting of a family of five security brands including Kastle Systems, Mutual Security Services, Stat Land Security Services, CheckVideo and Urban Alarm. Prior to joining Kastle in 2018, Mr. Lynn spent 16 years at CEB, now Gartner, and most recently served as Group President of its Best Practices & Decision Support business and member of the company’s executive leadership team. Prior to this role, Haniel led the Sales & Marketing, Communications, and Financial Services practices, where he was instrumental in bringing business-critical insights to market. Under his direction, CEB published the Wall Street Journal best-selling book The Challenger Sale and, more recently, The Effortless Experience — both lauded for challenging conventional wisdom and shifting management paradigms. Prior to joining CEB, Haniel was Vice President of Business Development and Strategy at LYTE, Inc., where he developed the business and operating model, led partnership development activities, and raised capital to support the early growth of the company. Before LYTE, he spent a number of years as a consultant with McKinsey & Company. Early in his career, he worked with GE Information Services. Haniel graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and holds an MBA from the Wharton School. In addition to serving on the Board of Overseers of the Penn Libraries, he also is a member of the board of directors of Rise Companies Corporation, an online real estate investment platform.

 Charles K. MacDonald, W'81

Chuck MacDonald retired as Senior Portfolio Manager at Elliott Associates, a $21 billion hedge fund located in New York City. At Elliott, MacDonald oversaw the firm's domestic private equity, high yield, and distressed portfolio encompassing a wide array of industries and corporate structures. MacDonald has served on numerous public and private corporate boards of directors as well as numerous creditors' committees. MacDonald earned his Bachelor of Science in economics with a concentration in finance from the Wharton School in 1981, and completed his Master of Business Administration at Columbia University in 1985.

 Marc Magliacano, W'96

Marc Magliacano is a Managing Partner for L Catterton, the largest dedicated consumer private equity firm in the world with 17 offices and over $15 billion under management. As a Managing Partner in L Catterton’s Flagship Buyout Fund, Magliacano has lead investments in the health, wellness and related sectors since 2006. Magliacano sits on the firm’s Senior Leadership Council as well as a permanent member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Prior to joining L Catterton, Magliacano was a senior investment professional at North Castle Partners, a private equity firm focused on consumer investments that benefit from healthy living and aging trends. During his eight years at North Castle, he led investments in the consumer healthcare, nutrition and wellness, and fitness sectors. Prior to joining North Castle, Mr. Magliacano worked at NMS Capital, the merchant bank of NationsBanc Montgomery Securities, making growth investments in early stage consumer and retail businesses. Magliacano is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). Magliacano has been a volunteer for Penn’s Alumni Interview Program for over 15 years and has been a frequent semi-finalist judge for the Penn Wharton Startup Challenge. Mr. Magliacano received a BS in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business with dual degrees in Finance and Operations and Information Management and received an MBA from Columbia Business School. Magliacano resides with his wife, Maria (Nu ’98), and their four daughters in New Canaan, CT.

 Cynthia Warshawsky Mark, C’93, W’93

Cindy Mark graduated summa cum laude and Phi Bette Kappa with a dual degree that included a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. From 1995-2003, Cindy was the Director of Marketing at Saks Fifth Avenue where her main focus was directing all aspects of Saks’ customer loyalty program— SaksFirst— including strategic planning, program analyses, direct mail communications and external partnerships. In 2000, this program accounted for 35% of Saks’ overall sales volume. Prior to her career at Saks, Cindy was a marketing manager for TCJC, a company that manufactured and marketed celebrity endorsed jewelry and accessories on QVC. At Penn, Cindy has been involved since graduation as a member of her class gift and reunion committees and serving on the Penn Fund Executive Board from 2015-2018. Cindy lives in New York City with her 3 children where she is a member of the Auxiliary Board of Mount Sinai Hospital.

 Margy Meyerson, G'93

Margy Meyerson—a distinguished daughter of the University of Pennsylvania and recipient of the University’s 2008 Alumni Award of Merit—was Penn’s First Lady during the presidency of Martin Meyerson (1970–81) and continues as Penn’s First Lady emerita. Meyerson was educated at the University of Chicago and has a second Masters’ degree from Bryn Mawr College in addition to her degree from Penn. Meyerson served as co-president of the Friends of the Library for 14 years. Meyerson serves on three Library boards and committees: Penn Libraries, Philadelphia Art Museum, and Rosenbach, which she chaired for 12 years. Meyerson is also involved with Women for Social Innovation, a Philadelphia giving group. She was a trustee of the Presbyterian Medical Center, the American University in Paris Foundation and the American Poetry Center, and was on the boards of Mellon/PSFS Bank, World Affairs Council, Lewis Stevens Trust, the Pennsylvania Humanities Council, and the Cosmopolitan Club Library Committee. For a decade, Meyerson was a public member of the Philadelphia City Planning Commission. As a former research director of the American Society of Planning Officials and author, Meyerson taught at the University of California at Berkeley and was a research fellow at Yale University.

 Kerry Moelis, PAR’10, PAR’12, PAR’16

Kerry received her BA with a dual degree in History and Art History from the University of Virginia and her JD from the Benjamin N Cardozo School of Law.  While not a  Penn graduate herself, all three of her children - Andrew, C'10, Madelyn, W'12, and Kate C'16 - and her husband Ron, C'78, W'78, are graduates of the University of Pennsylvania. Kerry has previously served on the Boards of Planned Parenthood, Family Services of Westchester, and Jewish Family Services of Greenwich, and is currently  the Vice-Chair of the National Dance Institute, an organization whose core belief is that the arts can engage and empower all children, regardless of background, ability, or socioeconomic status. She passionately believes in the idea that educational institutions have a responsibility towards community engagement and that libraries are an exceptional way to do just that.

 Joshua A. Polan, W'69, WG'70, PAR'97

Josh Polan has been a director of Blackstone Mortgage Trust (formerly Capital Trust) since 1994. Polan is a managing director of Berkley Capital, a wholly owned subsidiary of W.R. Berkley Corporation. Polan has also been an executive officer of Interlaken Capital, Inc. since July 1988, and currently serves as managing director. For nine years prior, Polan was a partner in the public accounting firm of Touche Ross & Co. (a predecessor firm to Deloitte & Touche). Polan is a member of the management committee of LD Realty Advisors LLC, the general partner of LDPG Realty Investors L.P. and on the board of directors of Stratford Development Company. For the past 20 years, Polan has been either an officer or a member of the board of governors of Old Oaks Country Club in Purchase, N.Y. Polan’s daughter, Kimberly, is also a Penn graduate.

 Eric Reiter, W’97

Eric Reiter joined Brentwood in 1999. Presently, he serves as a Director of Boston Proper, ClassWallet, Excelligence Learning Corp., Jefferson Dental Care, SAXX Underwear, Soft Surroundings, Sundance Holding Company and The Teaching Company. Previously, he served as a Director of Spectrum Clubs and was active in the sale of Bell Automotive in late 2004, Oriental Trading Company in 2006 and Array Marketing Group in 2012. Prior to joining Brentwood, Reiter worked in the merchant banking division of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, where his primary responsibilities included analyzing and structuring investments for the $3 billion DLJMB II L.P. private equity fund. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, where he received a dual bachelor's degree in finance and operation and information management from the Wharton School of Business. Reiter currently serves as a member of the Penn Libraries Board of Overseers. Previously, he was a member of both the Undergraduate Financial Aid Leadership Council and the Penn Fund Executive Board, the University of Pennsylvania’s undergraduate annual giving program. In addition, Reiter joined the Board of Trustees of The John Thomas Dye School in 2013, an independent, nonsectarian elementary day school located in Los Angeles, California, serving students in kindergarten through sixth grade.

 Mark Rosenbaum, W’95

Mark Rosenbaum is a Managing Partner of Aurora Capital Partners, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm focused on making control investments in US-based industrial and business service companies.  Mark has been with Aurora since 2001.  Throughout his career, he has served on multiple corporate Boards of Directors.  Prior to joining Aurora, he was with Summit Partners, a private equity firm in Boston and with Montgomery Securities, an investment bank in San Francisco.  Mark earned a BS in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA, where he was a Carter Fellow.  He is the Chair of the Board of Trustees of Village School, an independent day school in Pacific Palisades, California.  Mark lives in Santa Monica with his wife and three children.

 Barbara Brizdle Schoenberg

Barbara Brizdle Schoenberg received her Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University and attended the Executive Master of Business Administration program at Harvard. She founded Tymshare, Inc.'s Application Development Software Group, which she developed into a million dollar operation with six offices nationwide. Schoenberg created and launched Software Strategies Inc., a boutique consulting company, which provided customer support services to software companies. Schoenberg has also held successive vice presidential/division executive positions with Chase Manhattan Bank’s Information Services Group, including chief of staff for their technology steering committee. Like her late husband, Penn Libraries Board member emeritus Lawrence J. Schoenberg, she has a passion for medieval and early modern manuscripts and is an active member of the Advisory Committee for the Schoenberg Institute for Manuscript Studies (SIMS). Since retiring to Sarasota, Florida, Schoenberg remains active in civic affairs as board member and former Board Chair of Sarasota’s Jewish Family and Children’s Services. Schoenberg is also a national board member for the Alliance for Children & Families, a non-profit human service agency where Schoenberg chairs their Governance committee. Though golf is her current love, Schoenberg has competed in tennis events internationally, winning several medals.

 Jeffrey L. Seltzer, W'78, PAR'09

Jeff Seltzer, Managing Partner of Pierce Yates Ventures, has nearly 35 years of experience developing new businesses and products across the global capital markets and advising entrepreneurs, corporations and governments. Seltzer was a Managing Director and one of the founders of the Financial Products Group at Lehman Brothers and then moved to CIBC World Markets where Seltzer became Deputy Chairman of its U.S. investment bank. Seltzer then became Chief Operating Officer of Adirondack Trading Partners, the founder of the International Securities Exchange and Exchange Technology Corporation, prior to starting Pierce Yates, which provides early stage funding and advice to emerging companies. Seltzer serves on the board of Kasisto, a spin-off venture from SRI International, which provides a conversational artificial intelligence platform of virtual specialists for enterprise mobile applications, and GameCo which has invented a proprietary way to gamble playing video games at the casino while maintaining the same house advantage as traditional slot machines. Seltzer is the chairman of the Nassau County Local Economic Assistance Corporation and has served as an advisor to the U.S. Small Business Administration, Department of Commerce and the U.S. Trade Representative. Seltzer is a member of the Advisory Board of the Huntsman Program in International Studies and Business as well as the Wharton Sports Business Initiative. Seltzer was a member of the Major Gift Committee of Penn's Capital Campaign and has been the gift chair of his reunion four times. Seltzer received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctor from the Georgetown University Law Center. Selzter’s son, Ian, is a 2009 graduate of Penn.

 Peter V. Shoemaker, C'86, PAR'22

Peter Shoemaker is a founder and Managing Director of Wedbush Capital Partners, an affiliate of Wedbush Inc., the largest privately held securities firm in the western United States. Shoemaker has spent over 25 years in the investment business, including work in leveraged buyouts, turnarounds, re-capitalizations, growth equity and venture capital. Shoemaker represents the private equity fund on numerous corporate boards including CriterionBrock, Passport Foods, Reyn Spooner, Critical Alert Systems (Chairman), and VCC Optoelectronics. Previously Shoemaker was Managing Director of Alvin W. Shoemaker Investments, Inc. He received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania in 1986 and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Southern California in 1994. Shoemaker serves as a Trustee of Marlborough School and is Past Chairman of Marlborough’s Long Term Strategic Planning Committee. Shoemaker has long been active with the University of Pennsylvania as a member of SCRAB, as President of the Penn Club of Los Angeles, as Secondary School Admissions Chair, and as past founder and former board member of the Penn Fund. Shoemaker also served for many years on the Penn Alumni Board, and in 2005 was awarded the Alumni Award of Merit, the youngest alum to have received it. Shoemaker hosts an annual reception for new admits from the Southern California regions at his home.

 Rohit Singh, C'02, W'02

Rohit Singh is a highly experienced financial services executive with expertise in the apparel, discount, food, and specialty retail sectors. Singh is currently a Managing Director in the Consumer Products & Retail Group at UBS, where he is responsible for corporate finance advisory for corporate retail clients. Previously, Singh has been at J.P. Morgan and its heritage entities since 2005, at Gryphon Investors, and Citigroup. At Penn, Rohit serves in a number of volunteer roles including Director of the Advisory Board of the Huntsman Program of International Studies & Business, Co-Chair for the Class of 2002 Gift Committee, and member of the Penn Libraries’ Orrery Society Council. Singh and his wife have endowed the Singh Family Fund to support the acquisition of materials for South Asian Studies at the University of Pennsylvania Libraries for the benefit of scholars at Penn's Center for the Advanced Study of India (CASI). They have also endowed the Singh Family Fund to support undergraduate education. Outside of Penn, Singh is Co-Chair of the Young Lions Program at the New York Public Library. Singh graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania's Huntsman Program in International Studies & Business in 2002. Singh holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a finance concentration from Wharton and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the College

 Andrew Snyder, W'92

Andy Snyder is currently CEO of Cambridge Information Group, a family-owned investment firm and Vice Chairman of Clarivate (CVLT), a global leader in providing solutions to accelerate the lifecycle of innovation. From 2003 to 2021 Andy was responsible for building ProQuest from a legacy company of 190 employees to one of the leading providers of information and software solutions to the global academic and research community with nearly 3000 professionals. CIG sold ProQuest to Clarivate (CLVT) in May 2021 for a combination of cash and stock and continues to be a meaningful shareholder in CLVT today. Andy is responsible for the management and investment decisions for CIG and its businesses. Prior to joining CIG, Andy spent seven years at the Goldman Sachs Group where he focused on traditional media, technology and services investing for the firm’s private equity fund. Andy also spent one year as the Assistant to the Chairman and CEO of Goldman Sachs. Andy graduated cum laude from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and earned a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where he graduated magna cum laude. In addition to Clarivate, Andy currently serves on the Board of Advisors of Penn Libraries. He formerly served on the Board of Shining Hope for Communities (SHOFCO), Blucora, Inc. (BCOR), The Association of American Publishers, and The Browning School. He and his wife Molly live in New York City with their two children.

 Mina T. Wattenberg, C’94

Mina Wattenberg graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania. Wattenberg has an extensive professional background in global luxury brand management that encompassed international sales and merchandising, product management, global business planning and development, and management of licensing partnerships, with companies that included Godiva, Coach, and Reebok. At Penn, Wattenberg and her husband endowed both The Mina C'94 and Gregg Wattenberg Family Fund which supports acquisitions for Penn's Music Library and The Wattenberg Family Fund for Community Outreach which provides financial support to the Penn Libraries First Generation Low Income Program to assist Penn FGLI students and the Penn Libraries Public School Partnership to help children in Philadelphia access important library and learning resources. Wattenberg is also a member of the Penn Libraries' Orrery Society Council. Wattenberg lives in New York City and Connecticut with her husband, Gregg, and their two children. She is an active PA Board member at the Trinity School in NYC.

 Candice Wang Willoughby, C'97

Candice Wang Willoughby joined Brookfield Asset Management in October 2020 as Head of Client Strategy to oversee Marketing and Investor Relations for Brookfield Hedge Solutions, a multi-manager hedge fund platform. Prior to Brookfield, Ms. Willoughby spent six years as a Partner and Head of Business Development at BeaconLight Capital, an investment firm that manages a long/short equity strategy, overseeing marketing, investor relations, strategy, and operations.  Ms. Willoughby brings over 20 years of institutional sales experience from UBS, ABN Amro, and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ) where she covered long only, hedge fund, and Asian sovereign wealth clients. She started her career in equity research at DLJ, following specialty chemical and fertilizer stocks. Ms. Willoughby graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and minor in East Asian Studies. She currently serves on the Trustees’ Council for Penn Women and as a member of the Board of Overseers for the Penn Libraries.  Ms. Willoughby is fluent in Mandarin and resides in New York with her husband Robert, three daughters Penny, Kirby and Quinn, and Governor, a quarantine puppy.

 Stephanie Zilberman WG’01

Stephanie Zilberman graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard College and received her MBA from Wharton. She began her career in finance, first in the Investment Banking division at Bear Stearns, specializing in health care. She also worked at Mount Sinai Hospital in the Department of Health Policy. After receiving her MBA, she worked at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, eventually becoming a member of the Senior Management team of the Investment Management division. Most recently, she was appointed as a member of her town’s Metro District Board. She is currently a member of the Society of Fellows of the Aspen Institute. Zilberman has served in many volunteer capacities at her children’s schools, including running the committee that served as a liaison between school administration and parents. Zilberman lives in Aspen, CO with her husband Dan, WG ’01, and their three children.
