Students taking PPE courses will find themselves oriented toward a particular perspective and approach, philosophical, political, economics, psychological or otherwise.  The wise PPE student will learn to differentiate between disciplines as well as to determine where they overlap.  Research practice will often required identifying tools and contents that are either oriented towards on of the disciplines or are interdisciplinary.

General overview (optional)

The Philosophy, Politics and Economics is a program in the College of Arts and Sciences integrating courses from the three departments making up its name as well as Psychology, Communications and more disciplines.  The PPE major is distinctive in how it allows students to integrate courses from multiple disciplines in thematic concentrations.  The PPE major is also distinctive in requiring students to complete advanced interdisciplinary courses and capstone projects.
