Pennsylvania Hospital Medical Library is an on-site library for staff, employees, faculty, and students at Pennsylvania Hospital, the University of Pennsylvania, and the Penn Medicine Community

The Library is staffed from 10 AM to 3 PM. We are closed for lunch from noon to 1 PM.
Borrowing
- Items are listed in Franklin, the Penn Libraries catalog.
- Books circulate for one month and may be renewed by phone, email, or in person, as needed.
- Items from the Reserve, Reference and Journal collection do not circulate.
- Books may be delivered from the Hospital Library to the Penn campus on Mondays and Wednesdays through the Penn Library Delivers program.
Historic Collection and Archives
Appointments are required to view materials.
The Archives are located in the historic Pine Building at the Hospital.

24-hour Access
Entrance is by electronic ID card access. Call security at 215-829-3434 for problems with ID cards.
All other members of the University of Pennsylvania, and the Penn Medicine Community
Library staff hours: Monday - Friday, 10 AM to 3 PM. We are closed for lunch from noon to 1 PM.
A Library Services representative will admit persons without ID Badges to the Library.
