The Class of 1960's 35th reunion gift was the gateway to the multi-million dollar renovation of the University's main social sciences and humanities library, the Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center, situated in the heart of the campus. The entryway is the building's frontispiece, welcoming students in from the Blanche P. Levy Park.
The class gift met a Kresge Foundation challenge, which doubled the value of the donations.
