Basic printmaking processes are defined and explored in this exhibition of prints from the Rare Book and Manuscript Library at the Penn Library. Selections from the Carl Zigrosser Papers, the Joseph and Elizabeth Robins Pennell Papers, and other collections are highlighted to illustrate the various techniques. Art of the Print and its companion exhibition Mixed Media, Mixed Company: Conjunctions at the Common Press, on display in the Library's Rosenwald Gallery until August 17th, seek to provide a survey and examination of various printmaking techniques that continue to inspire artist, writers, and others across the University.

Remarks by Carolee Campbell designer, printer, binder and sole proprietor of the Ninja Press which she founded in 1984. She will speak on the Ninja Press edition of W.S. Merwin'sThe Real World of Manuel Cordova, from conception to completion, and on the process of illustrating her works more generally.
